Repairs this series usually needs
- R1, D1 or C1 codes on the display
- Hi or Lo display
- Door alarm chirps
- Evaporator frost
- Water on the floor from a drain hose
The TSR Super Deluxe is a Turbo Air reach-in with an 88 LED controller, the display that shows codes like R1, D1 and C1. Numbers such as TSR-23GSD-N6 and TSR-35GSD-N tell you the width and whether the doors are glass. Eight numbers are in this line.
The controller uses an R-sensor in the cabinet air and a D-sensor on the coil. Its codes point us straight to a sensor, and its door alarm chirps three times after 30 seconds, five times after 60 seconds, and continuously after five minutes. We test the named sensor first, then the condenser, the door seal and the drain.
Water on the floor often means the drain hose has slipped out of the drain pan, an easy fix we check on every visit.

They tell you how long the door has been open: over 30 seconds, over 60 seconds, and over five minutes. Closing the door stops them.
What is the D-sensor?
It is the defrost sensor on the coil. It tells the controller when the ice has melted. A D1 code means the controller cannot read it.
Why is water on the floor?
The drain hose may have slipped out of the drain pan, or the drain may be blocked. We check the hose and the pan first.
