What does Blakeslee error code U10 mean?
Besides the standard pumps, the machine can carry optional motors. Each is protected by a thermal protector that opens when its motor overheats or draws too much current. When one trips, the control displays U10 OPTIONAL MOTORS THERMAL PROT. The manual lists it as thermal protection of optional motors tripped and says to contact Technical Service. It does not say which motor is involved, so identifying the one that tripped is part of the visit. An optional motor may be overloaded by a jam, a mechanical bind, a worn bearing or an unbalanced supply. The alarm is separate from E7 and M7, which name the wash 1 and prewash pumps, so U10 usually means the problem is with fitted extras rather than the main wash.
