Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Refrigeration not reaching temperature
  2. Door not closing from sagging hinges
  3. Panels sweating from poor air circulation
  4. Door thermometer showing P1
  5. Interior light not working

Amerikooler’s Quick Ship walk-ins come in nine standard sizes. QC marks a cooler, DF a freezer and DW a combination. Model numbers seen on these include QC081277**FBSC, QC060672NBRC-O, DF061477**FBRF, DW101277F-6/6-SC and DW060977F-4/5-RM, where the ** stands for an option. The serial plate and sticker are inside the door frame.

The maker suggests a monthly walk-around: look for light around the door and between panels, and check door seals and sweeps. Standard walk-ins are not meant to be used outdoors, though customized outdoor models exist.

On repairs we start with the door and hinges, then the refrigeration, the defrost timer and the door thermometer. A P1 on the thermometer is a probe error. Older boxes are within our scope, and an honest answer on repair value comes with each quote.

FAQAmerikooler Quick Ship Indoor and Outdoor Walk-Ins questions
What do QC, DF and DW mean?

QC is a cooler, DF is a freezer and DW is a combination box with both. The digits give the size, and the ending shows the options.

Where is the serial plate?

There is a serial plate and a sticker inside the door frame. Read us the numbers when you call. It helps us bring the right parts to the visit.

Why are my walk-in panels sweating?

Poor air circulation, humid air from the building or unsealed panel joints are the usual reasons. We check the seals and the air path. That helps us match your box to the right parts.
