Repairs this series usually needs
- Drain and water supply problems
- Scale on the evaporator and probe
- Condenser airflow in tight spaces
- Bin and curtain problems
The KDF0150A is a small undercounter Koolaire cube machine with a built-in bin. It fits bars, coffee shops and small kitchens where space is short. Because it lives in a tight spot, heat and airflow are the first things we think about.
Undercounter machines depend on a clear front grille and a free drain. Boxes pushed against the front, a slow drain or a water supply that was turned off for another repair account for many calls. Scale on the evaporator and probe slows ice in the same way as on larger machines.
We check the grille and condenser, the water supply and drain, and the bin switch, then the probe and sealed system. Read us the model on the data plate and describe what the machine does, and we plan the visit around that.

Does an undercounter need clear air?
Yes. It breathes through the front grille, so keep boxes away from it, and let us know if the unit is built in tightly so we can check airflow.
Why is my bin empty?
A closed water valve, a blocked drain or a dirty condenser are the usual reasons. Those come first, followed by the probe and the bin switch on the machine.
Is this model repairable?
Usually. Small units are simple machines, so most repairs are modest. A written quote comes first, and if a repair would not pay off on a unit this age, we tell you.
