Repairs this series usually needs
- Machine that will not start because the lid is not locked
- Breaker that trips on overload
- Poor chopping from a dull blade
- Bowl seal and shaft seal leaks
- Motor that hums without turning
Robot Coupe cutter-mixers are bowl cutters from 2 to 60 quarts. The models include the R 2 B, R 5 V.V., R 7 V.V., R 8, R 10, R 15, R 20, R 23 T, R 30 T, R 45 T and R 60 T, plus the R 301 Ultra and R 401 B.
Always unplug the machine before checking the blade, and never reach past the lid. If it will not start, the lid interlock is the first check. A bowl or shaft seal that leaks calls for taking the machine apart.
A bowl cutter in daily use wears blades, seals and belts in a predictable order. We give a written price first, and we tell you honestly when the machine is at the end of its useful life.

The number is the bowl size in quarts, so an R 60 T has a 60 quart bowl. The plate carries the exact name. The plate shows the full name.
Why does my bowl cutter leak?
The bowl seal or blade shaft seal is the usual cause, and we replace it and inspect the shaft. A written price comes first, and the bowl is checked for scoring.
How often should the blade be replaced?
When chopping turns uneven or the product heats and smears, the blade is dull. Replace it before it strains the motor, and keep hands clear of the edge at all times.
