Repairs this series usually needs
- Motor that will not start because the bowl or lid is not seated
- Blade seal leaks
- Motor overload trips
- Disc wobble or a cracked bowl
The Waring WFP commercial food processors are batch bowl machines from 2.5 to 4 quarts: the WFP11S, WFP14S, WFP14SC, WFP16S and WFP16SCD. Kitchens, bars and cafes use them for chopping and mixing small batches.
Unplug the processor before touching the blade, and never reach past the lid. If the motor will not start, the bowl and lid interlock is the first check. A blade seal that leaks needs replacing, and a cracked bowl or a wobbling disc should not be used. Overload trips often mean too heavy a load or a motor that needs testing.
Batch processors take small, fast jobs all day, so seals and blades wear first. We give a written price first, and we say plainly when a new processor makes more sense than a repair.
About this series
- Batch bowl processors from 2.5 to 4 quarts
- Bowl and lid interlock
- Countertop
What size are these processors?
They range from 2.5 to 4 quarts. The model number on the data plate confirms which one you have, and we use it to find the right bowl, blade and seal.
Why does the motor not start?
The bowl or lid may not be seated, so the interlock keeps the motor off. We then test the motor and the start circuit before ordering parts.
When is a cracked bowl a reason to stop?
Right away. A cracked bowl can leak or break under load, so stop using it and replace the bowl before the next batch. A new bowl is cheaper than a cleanup.
