Taylor Slush Machine Error Code Syrup Pressure Low: Out of Syrup
On the Taylor C300 slush freezer, Syrup Pressure Low means the syrup out indicator shows a lack of syrup. The machine goes into Hold mode, where only the beater runs, until syrup is replenished, and then it returns to Auto on its own. Check the syrup supply first.
Low: a supply message; the machine holds and returns to Auto on its own when syrup is back.

What does Taylor Syrup Pressure Low mean?
The C300 has an indicator that senses when the syrup supply has run out. When it does, the control does not shut the machine down; it changes to Hold mode, in which only the beater runs. This keeps the product in the barrel moving without freezing more of it. Once syrup is back, the control returns to Auto by itself. The message is a supply message, so the first step is at the syrup supply, not inside the machine. The manual lists the syrup container or bag-in-box, the syrup line for kinks or air, the syrup pump or supply pressure, and the syrup out sensor. An empty bag-in-box is the most common cause, and air in the line after a changeover can keep the indicator showing empty for a moment. If the container is full, the line has no kinks and the message still stays, the pump or the sensor may need attention.

- Normal freezing resumes after syrup is replaced
Possible causes
Listed in Taylor's documentation
- The syrup container or bag-in-box
- The syrup line for kinks or air
- The syrup pump or supply pressure
- The syrup out sensor
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind Syrup Pressure Low on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- A bag-in-box connector not seated fully after a changeover, so the pump sucks air
- A syrup line pinched under a heavy box in the storage area
Safe checks before calling for service
- Check the syrup supply and replace or refill it if it is empty.
- Look along the syrup line for kinks and for a loose connection.
- Wait for the machine to return to Auto after the syrup is back.
- If the message stays with syrup present, call us and tell us how long it has been in Hold.
How a technician diagnoses Syrup Pressure Low
- Read the message and confirm the syrup container and connector.
- Check the line for kinks, air and leaks.
- Check the syrup pump output and supply pressure.
- Check the syrup out sensor against a full supply.
- Verify the machine returns to Auto.
- Replace the pump or sensor only after the test.
- The syrup pump and sensor wiring are live inside the cabinet.
- Syrup systems must be opened and sanitized correctly to avoid contaminating product.
- Telling a weak pump from a failed sensor needs a pressure gauge and a meter.
