What does Crathco error code Filtr mean?
A granita machine cools its product with a refrigeration system that needs air moving through the condenser. A filter at the air intake catches dust and grease so the air gets through. The control watches the machine's temperature, and when it sees heat building because the airflow is too low, it shows Filtr on the LED readout and beeps every 4-5 seconds. The manual calls this the Filter Cleaning alarm and states the unit is running hot because of insufficient internal air circulation. The cure is to clean and replace the filter, as described under Removing and Cleaning Filter on page 11, and to improve ventilation. If the alarm is ignored, the heat keeps rising and the unit goes on to the Err condition, which shuts the compressor down. Filtr is the early warning.
