Repairs this series usually needs
- Warm pans and a rail that will not hold temperature
- Probe codes such as P2
- Condensate drain clogged with food
- Lid and gasket wear
- Dirty condenser from lint and flour
The TSSU is True’s sandwich and salad prep table. The number on the plate gives the width and the pan layout, for example TSSU-27-08-HC for a 27 inch table with eight pans, or TSSU-27-12M-B-HC for a 27 inch table with twelve pans. Forty-one numbers are listed.
A prep table cools the pans from a cold air stream and the cabinet below, so pans that run warm at the edges often mean a blocked airflow path or a lid that does not close. We check the lid and gasket first, then the condenser, which sits low and picks up lint and food dust. Next we check the control and the defrost.
An older table is worth repairing when the cabinet is sound, and we tell you plainly if it is not.

Airflow may be blocked by a pan or a lid, or the fan at that end may be weak. We check the airflow path, the fan and the condenser.
My table shows P2. What next?
P2 is the evaporator probe on a Dixell control. The table may keep cooling, but defrost can drift. We test the probe and the coil.
Do you service tables with extra drawers?
Yes. We service the cabinet below the rail whether it has doors or drawers, and we confirm the model number so we bring the right gaskets.
