Repairs this series usually needs
- Error 1 for max freeze or max harvest
- Error 2 for the sump thermistor
- Error 3 for max fill or max purge
- Scale and slime in the water path
- Condenser heat
The Elevation CIM series is the current Ice-O-Matic modular cuber line. Model numbers begin with CIM, such as CIM0320A, CIM0636W, CIM1136R and CIM1845A, and the last letter shows air, water or remote cooling. The control board shows errors through flashes of the Power and Clean lights.
Error 1 is a quick red Power flash for a freeze longer than an hour or a harvest longer than 5.5 minutes. Error 2 is a slow flash for the sump thermistor, and Error 3 combines a red Power flash with a yellow Clean flash for max fill or max purge. The maker recommends a water filter and a neutral pH if reverse osmosis water is used.
We start with water and scale, then heat, then the sensors and valves.

How do I read the flashes?
A quick red Power flash is Error 1, a slow Power flash while off is Error 2, and a red Power with yellow Clean flash is Error 3. Tell us what you see.
Does the machine have a diagnostic mode?
Yes. Holding the Power and Clean buttons for six seconds starts a diagnostic sequence. We use it during service, so please leave it to us.
Is outdoor use allowed?
No. The maker does not approve outdoor installation and sets the ambient range at 50 to 100 F, which is a limit worth watching.
