Blodgett Mark V XCEL Convection Ovens
Older line.
Repairs this series usually needs
- Hi over-temperature alarm
- Prob message for the probe
- HEAT ERR from slow heat-up
- FAN ERR or FANC ERR for the convection fan
- DOOR OPEN with the door closed
The Mark V XCEL is an older full-size Blodgett convection oven that uses the IQ2T computerized control. Model and serial numbers sit on the data plate, and we use them to line up parts before we arrive. Because the control sounds an alarm with every code, a problem is hard to miss.
The messages tell us where to look. Hi sends us to the probe and the heat output. Prob sends us to the probe. HEAT ERR and the fan messages send us to heating, airflow and the fan control. DOOR OPEN with a closed door sends us to the switch and the door alignment.
This is an older line still in service, and we repair it. We will say so if the oven cannot be repaired sensibly, and a written price always comes first.

Blodgett convection ovens codes
What does the IQ2T control show when something is wrong?
Messages such as Hi, Prob, HEAT ERR, FAN ERR, FANC ERR and DOOR OPEN, along with an alarm. Tell us the exact text when you call, since it points us to the right check.
Can the alarm be silenced?
Press TOGGLE/CLEAR to clear an alarm. That only clears the message and does not remove the cause. If the message returns, call us, because the oven then needs to be tested properly.
Is a Mark V XCEL worth repairing?
Often yes, as these ovens are built to last. Your price arrives in writing first, and when age and condition favor a new oven, we tell you.
