The AXP20 and MXP20 are older heavy-volume combination ovens with a touch pad and an EZ Card for menu management. They combine 2000 W convection, 2200 W microwave and 3000 W infrared in a 1.38 cu ft cavity. A catalytic converter allows ventless operation.

Their hyphenated codes, such as M-0, C-1 and G-2, are the clue to this generation. M codes point to the magnetrons, C and D to the sensors, G to overheating and H and A to the boards. Lines in the display call for a check of the filter board. We start with the filter, the vents and the clearance, then the magnetrons and the sensors.

These are older ovens. We repair them and say plainly when the cost is more than the oven is worth.

What do the hyphens in the codes mean?

They mark the AXP20 and MXP20 generation, which prints M-0 and C-1 with a dash. The newer AXP22 prints codes such as C0 without one, so the dash also tells us which manual page applies.

Why are there lines in my display?

Lines in the display on these ovens often point to the filter board. Unplugging and re-plugging the oven is the first step, and a board check follows if the lines return.

How much room does an AXP20 need?

At least 2 in around the top and 2 in between the back air discharge and the wall. Do not install it next to pizza ovens or fryers.
