Repairs this series usually needs
- Retarder that does not cool from the condenser or remote condenser
- Water fill or humidity problems
- Clock or timer lost after a power loss
- Proofer that is slow to reach temperature
The LBC LRPR is a roll-in retarder proofer. It holds dough cold on a 24-hour timer and then proofs it, so a baker can set it at night and have dough ready in the morning. A -C ending means the condenser is included and a model without it uses a remote condenser. The control is a PID with the timer.
When it does not cool, we check the condenser or remote condenser first, then the refrigeration circuit. For the proofing side we check the water fill, element, humidity sensing and the door seal. The clock can lose its time after a power loss, so a storm can reset it.
Overnight retarding depends on the timer and the cooling working together. A written price comes first, and we tell you plainly when a repair is not worth it for an older unit.
About this series
- Retarder proofers with a 24-hour timer
- PID control
- Condenser included with -C or remote
What does the -C in LRPR1-HO-C mean?
The condenser is included with the unit. Without the -C, the retarder uses a remote condenser. The data plate carries the full number we use to confirm parts.
Why did my timer lose the time?
A power loss can reset the clock. If it happens often, tell us, and we check the supply and the control, since a storm can cause it.
Does a power outage affect a retarder?
It can. The clock may lose its setting and the hold may end early, so check the time after any outage and call us if the timer keeps resetting.
