The Bizerba GSP H and GSP HD are gravity-feed slicers. Some versions have a touch panel that shows weight and slice count. The models include GSP H, GSP HD, GSP H W, GSP HD W, GSP H Flex, GSP HC, GSP HDC and GSP V, and the model name is on the data plate.
Wear cut-proof gloves when cleaning, since the blade is a hazard even when it is still. Unplug the slicer before any check. A touchscreen that does not react is often cleaning-agent residue on the surface. A carriage that will not tilt out needs the tilt lock released and the thickness knob set below zero. A blade sharpened past 6 mm must be replaced.
The GSP has built-in sharpening and a touch panel, so some problems are cleaning-related rather than mechanical. We give a written price first, and we tell you plainly when a repair is not worth making on an older unit.

Why does my touchscreen not respond?
Cleaning-agent residue is a common reason. Wipe the screen clean with the slicer off. If it still does not respond, call us and we test the panel.
Why can I not tilt the carriage out?
The tilt lock may not be released, or the thickness knob may be above zero. Set the knob below zero and release the lock. Slicer unplugged and guards in place is the safe way to try this.
What cleaning agent damages the touchscreen?
Residue from cleaning agents can stop the screen from reacting. Wipe it clean with the slicer off, and avoid leaving product on the panel. If it still does not respond, we test it.
