Repairs this series usually needs
- Machine that will not start because the pusher or lid is not locked
- Breaker that trips on overload
- Poor cuts from a dull or wrong disc
- Noise from the belt or bearings
- Seal leaks
The Robot Coupe CL series are continuous-feed vegetable cutters. The models include the CL 40, CL 50 in several versions such as Gourmet and Ultra, the CL 52 1V, the CL 55 with 2 chutes or a lever, and the CL 60 with 2 feed heads or a pusher feed head.
Unplug the machine before changing a disc, and never reach past the feed head. If it will not start, the lid and pusher interlock is the first check. Poor cuts mean a dull or wrong disc.
CL machines are workhorses in prep kitchens, and the right disc matters as much as the motor. We give a written price first, and we say plainly if a repair is not worth it for the age of the machine.

They are versions of the CL 50 with different feed head and disc setups. The data plate shows the full name, and we confirm discs and parts from it.
Why does the machine not start?
The pusher or lid may not be locked, or the interlock may need attention, and we check each in turn. Then the start circuit and the motor, before any part is ordered.
How do I choose the right disc?
The cut you want and the product decide it. A wrong or dull disc tears and bruises vegetables, so if cuts look rough, check the disc before blaming the motor.
