- Motor that hums or will not start
- Shaft or seal that leaks
- Speed control that fails on V.V. Models
- Overheating on long use
The Robot Coupe MP and CMP immersion blenders are hand-held units for soups, sauces and purees. The models include the MP 160 V.V., 190 V.V., 240 V.V., 350, 350 V.V., 350 Combi, 350 Ultra TP, 450, 450 V.V., 550, 600, 800 and 800 Turbo TP, and the CMP 250 V.V., 250 Combi and 400 V.V.
Unplug the blender before removing the shaft or checking the blade. A hand-held blender takes hard use in a busy kitchen: the shaft seal wears, the motor overheats on long jobs and the speed control can fail on a V.V. Model. We check the seal, the motor and the control.
Immersion blenders live a hard life in wet kitchens, and shaft seals are the usual casualty. A written price comes first, and we tell you honestly when a hand-held unit is cheaper to replace than to repair.

What does V.V. Mean on an MP?
It marks a variable-speed model, and if the speed will not change, we test the control and motor. A written price comes first, and we test it under a normal load.
Can an immersion blender be repaired at all?
Yes, for seals, switches and speed controls, though a worn motor on a small unit may cost more to fix than to replace. We tell you which it is before any work.
