Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Blender that stops during a cycle from motor thermal protection
  2. Container that leaks at the blade assembly
  3. Touch pad that does not respond
  4. Motor noise from a worn coupling

The Waring Hi-Power Xtreme MX series are 64 ounce blenders with a 3.5 horsepower motor and a 120 volt supply, with 230 volt versions marked -EE. The control letters in the model number mark the style: XTX is a touch pad, XTP is programmable and XTS is a switch. The models run from the MX1000 through the MX1500, with XTXP and XTPEE variants.

Unplug the blender before removing the container or checking the blade assembly. A blender that stops mid-cycle has often tripped its motor thermal protection. A leak at the base means the blade assembly seal. A touch pad that does not respond needs the control checked, and a noisy motor often has a worn coupling.

These blenders work hard in bars, so couplings, seals and touch pads wear. A written price comes first, and we tell you plainly when a new blender makes more sense.

FAQWaring Hi-Power Xtreme MX Series Blenders questions
What do XTX, XTP and XTS mean?

They mark the control: XTX is a touch pad, XTP is programmable and XTS is a switch. The model number on the data plate shows which one you have.

Why does my blender stop mid-cycle?

The motor's thermal protection may have tripped, so let it cool and use smaller loads. If it stops again soon after cooling, the motor or its cooling needs a closer look from us before the next busy shift.

Does the 3.5 horsepower motor need special care?

It needs good airflow and rest between long blends. Overheating trips the thermal protection, and repeated trips suggest a cooling or motor problem. We check the motor and fan during a visit.
