Repairs this series usually needs
- Shot volume or timing drifting
- Boiler fill and heating problems from scale
- Group gasket and valve leaks
- Steam wand valve leaks
The Appia family is Nuova Simonelli’s compact group-head line: the Appia, Appia II and Appia Life. They fit small bars, cafes and offices, and some are current while others are older machines in service for many years.
A compact machine has less room for water and heat, so scale and a tired gasket show up quickly. When shots change, we check the grind and dose, then the group gasket and screen, then the pump and the doser. Water filters and a regular descale are the best protection.
We repair them, and an older Appia that needs more than it is worth gets an honest answer. Boiler and valve work is ours; owners stay with the filter and cleaning. Read us the name on the front and any message shown, and we line up the parts.

Which Appia do I have?
The name is on the front and the data plate: Appia, Appia II or Appia Life. Knowing which one lets us pack the correct gaskets and parts.
Why is my compact machine slow to heat?
A scaled heating element is a common cause. We check the water side and the heater, and we suggest a filter. Boiler work stays with us.
Do you repair older Appia machines?
Yes. Quotes are written, and if a repair would cost more than the machine is worth, you hear it from us before any work, so you can plan a replacement.
