Bizerba’s GSP H and GSP HD are gravity-feed slicers, and some versions have a touch panel that shows weight and slice count. The family includes the GSP H W, GSP HD W, GSP H Flex, GSP HC, GSP HDC and GSP V. The older VS12 series, with variants such as the VS12C, VS12F, VS12W and VS12D, is still in service in delis and grocery stores.
The GSP operator manual lists a few problems an owner can solve. A touchscreen that does not respond is often cleaning-agent residue on the glass. A carriage that will not tilt outward usually means the tilt lock has not been released, or the thickness knob needs to be set below zero. The blade drive also stops on its own after a set number of seconds without use and the slicer goes to stand-by, which is normal behavior.
If those checks do not fix it, we look further. A poor slicing result usually means a blunt blade, and a poor sharpening result points to dirty or greasy grinding disks. A blade sharpened past its permitted wear limit cannot be sharpened again and has to be replaced. Cut-proof gloves matter when cleaning, because the blade is unprotected.
We check parts before we arrive, and the price is written out before work begins. On an older VS12 we say plainly when a repair is not worth the cost, and every repair carries a 30-day warranty.

Why does my Bizerba touchscreen not respond?
Cleaning-agent residue on the panel is a common cause, so wipe it clean first. If it still does not respond, we test the panel and its connection and give you a written price.
Can a Bizerba blade be sharpened forever?
No. The blade can be sharpened only to a permitted wear limit, and then it must be replaced. We check the blade and the sharpener disks and tell you plainly what is needed.
Do you repair older Bizerba VS12 slicers?
Yes. We service VS12 slicers along with the GSP line. If a repair would cost more than the slicer is worth, we tell you before work begins.
