Globe’s premium slicers are the 13-inch S13, S13A, S213, SG13, SG13A and SG213. The medium-duty line includes the G10, G12, G12A, G14 and GC512, and the economy line is the C9, C10 and C12. The FS12 and FS14 are manual flywheel slicers. Older Globe series, such as the 400, 500 and 600, are still found in delis, and we work on those too.
If the blade does not turn, we look at the belt, the motor and the start switch. Uneven slices point to a dull blade or a gauge plate that is out of adjustment, and a sharpener that does not work usually has worn stones or a misaligned mount. A carriage that drags needs the slide cleaned and lubricated, and repeated overload trips make us look at the blade condition and the motor.
Slicers see daily washdowns and food residue, so seals, switches and bearings wear over time. We confirm parts before we come and tell you honestly when an economy unit is not worth fixing. Every repair includes a written price before work and a 30-day warranty on our work.
