What does Kolpak DOOR TEMP LOW mean?
The controller reads the door temperature sensor and compares the reading with a low limit: the DOOR TEMP setting minus LO DOOR ALR OFST. A reading under that limit is not enough by itself. It must stay there for longer than DOOR TMP ALR DLY, so a brief dip is ignored. When it persists, the text alarm DOOR TEMP LOW appears in the Alarms menu. A door region that runs too cold matters in a cooler because it can freeze product placed near the door and can mean cold air is being pushed at the door instead of circulating through the room. It can also simply mean the sensor is reading low. The manual gives no causes, and it does not say the controller changes any cooling output because of the alarm. It sounds again after the one-hour silence if the low reading continues.

- Door temperature sensor reading low because of a poor connection or a damaged probe
- Door temperature setting or low-alarm offset entered too aggressively for the room
- Product load near the door that is much colder than the room
Safe checks before calling for service
- Press ENTER to silence the alarm for 1 hour. It returns if the reading stays low.
- Check whether product near the door is freezing, and move delicate items away from it.
- Look for obstructions that send cold air toward the door area.
- Record the door temperature on the display and the time of the alarm for the technician.
How a technician diagnoses DOOR TEMP LOW
- Read DOOR TEMP, LO DOOR ALR OFST and DOOR TMP ALR DLY.
- Compare the display door temperature with a reference thermometer at the door.
- Inspect the sensor mounting and cable.
- Check room setpoint and evaporator airflow direction.
- Correct the sensor, airflow or settings and confirm the reading returns above the low limit.
- Comparing sensors and checking evaporator airflow can involve working near fans and panels.
- Door and offset settings must match the room's design values.
- If the sensor is reading wrong, a meter test against its chart is required.

Can a cold door area spoil product?
Yes, it can freeze items placed near the door. Move sensitive product until the cause is found.
Is DOOR TEMP LOW the opposite of DOOR TEMP HIGH?
Yes. DOOR TEMP HIGH is for readings above the limit. This one is for readings below DOOR TEMP minus the offset.
Will the alarm clear by itself?
If the door temperature returns above the low limit, the condition ends. Silencing alone does not fix it.
