Blendtec Chef 775 Blender Error Codes E-01 to E-06
E-01 through E-06 are error messages shown on the LED information center of the Blendtec Chef 775. The owner's manual lists the range but gives no meaning for each number, so we find the cause by testing. Press cancel or exit, write down which number is shown, and unplug the blender and plug it back in firmly.
Medium: the blender may stop or refuse to start, but the manual does not describe a safety hazard.
What does Blendtec error code E-01 to E-06 mean?
The Chef 775 uses an LED information center to show the state of the blender, and when the control finds a problem it shows an E number from E-01 to E-06. The manual lists the range under error messages on the display but does not give a separate meaning for each number. We therefore do not guess which part each number points to. What we can say is that each number identifies a different part of the control, so the number is the most useful thing to record, along with when it appeared. Staff see an E number on the display, and the blender may stop or refuse to start. The manual's list is a practical set of things to look at: which E number appears and when, power quality and plug condition, sensors and the connections to the control, and the control board if one number keeps returning. A single appearance after a power dip is different from a number that returns every day.
Affected models and control systems
This applies to the Blendtec Chef 775 with the LED information center. Other Blendtec models display different messages.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
What you may notice
- An E number between E-01 and E-06 shows on the display
- The blender stops during a cycle
- The blender refuses to start
- The same number returns after unplugging
Possible causes
Listed in Blendtec's documentation
- A particular E number triggered by an unknown condition
- Poor power quality or a bad plug
- Sensor or connection to the control failing
- Control board failing, if one number keeps returning
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code E-01 to E-06 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- A plug or outlet that makes poor contact so the control sees an unstable supply
- A cable between the base and the control that is worn from daily lifting and cleaning
- A control board that logs the same number each time a high-load cycle starts
Safe checks before calling for service
- Press cancel or exit.
- Write down which E number is shown.
- Unplug the blender and plug it back in firmly.
- Do not put a hand or utensil near the blade while the blender is plugged in.
- If the number returns, note when it appears and call us with the number.
How a technician diagnoses error code E-01 to E-06
- Record the E number, the cycle and the load when it appeared.
- Check the plug, cord and outlet, and the supply voltage.
- Inspect the sensor connections and wiring to the control.
- Repeat the cycle to see whether the same number returns.
- Check the control board if one number keeps returning.
- Replace the part the testing names, then run a full load to confirm.
- The manual gives no meaning for each number, so the cause has to be found by testing.
- The sensors and control board are inside the base with live voltage.
- The blade makes live testing unsafe for an operator.
