Huebsch Washer Error Code E nFLo: No Water Flow Detected
E nFLo on Huebsch Quantum toploads and QN washer-extractors means no water flow was detected. Confirm the hot and cold supply valves are open all the way, and see whether other machines on the same line are filling. If the washer still will not fill, phone us or send the online form.
Medium: the washer cannot start a wash without water, though the usual causes are simple supply problems.
What does Huebsch error code E nFLo mean?
This code is about the very start of a fill. On a Quantum topload the control expects to see 0.5 inch of water in the tub within the programmed time. On a QN washer-extractor the water level has to reach the basket within 5 minutes, unless that check was programmed off. When the water does not show up in time, the control concludes nothing is flowing and displays "E nFLo". The washer starts and then never fills. This differs from a slow fill, where water arrives but too gently: here the level never gets off the floor of the tub. The manual points at the supply valves and hoses behind the washer, inlet screens clogged with sediment, the fill valves and their wiring, and the pressure sensor that reads the water level. A sensor that cannot register a small amount of water can produce the same message even when water is flowing, so both ends of the path are in play.
Affected models and control systems
This page covers Huebsch Quantum topload washers in the TLW13C family and QN washer-extractors with the CHM1792C front-end control, 20 to 100 lb. The topload and QN versions use different detection thresholds.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
What you may notice
- Washer starts but no water enters the tub
- "E nFLo" on the display
- No sound of water at the inlet valves
Possible causes
Listed in Huebsch's documentation
- Supply valves closed or hoses restricted
- Inlet screens clogged with sediment
- Fill valves or their wiring not working
- Pressure sensor not reading the water level
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code E nFLo on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Building water shut off for plumbing work and valves left closed afterward
- A hose connected to the wrong supply stub with its shut-off valve turned off
Safe checks before calling for service
- Confirm the hot and cold supply valves are open all the way.
- Check whether other machines on the same line are filling.
- If water is running onto the floor, shut the supply valves and keep clear of wet areas.
- For a washer that still will not fill, phone us or send the online form, noting whether you heard the valves click.
How a technician diagnoses error code E nFLo
- Read the code and confirm whether any water reaches the tub.
- Verify supply valves, hoses and pressure at the inlet.
- Clean the inlet screens.
- Test the fill valves and wiring when water is called for.
- Check the pressure sensor reading as water enters, and replace only the failed part.
- Fill valve coils and wiring are tested with power on at the control.
- A pressure sensor reading must be compared with real water level, which needs the cabinet opened.
- Water on the floor near a powered machine is a shock risk.
How error code E nFLo differs from similar codes
E nFLo means nothing arrived at the start of the fill. E FL means the level was still short after a long fill, so the water was at least moving.

Related Huebsch washer error codes
Does E nFLo always mean the water is off?
No. It can also mean the sensor did not register the water that was there.
Why did it stop so quickly on the QN?
The QN allows 5 minutes for the level to reach the basket, unless the check is programmed off.
Can I try again right away?
Yes once you have confirmed the valves are open, but a repeat needs a closer look.
