Huebsch Quantum Washer Error Code oFF: Break-In Shutdown
OFF is the break-in alarm shutdown message on Huebsch Quantum frontload and topload washers. After an alarm condition on the door or coin vault switches, the control shuts the washer down; check that the vault and door are closed and do not bypass any switch.
Medium: the washer will not run until the switch condition is resolved, but there is no hazard in the code itself.
What does Huebsch error code OFF mean?
Quantum washers watch the coin vault and the door with switches. When one of those switches shows a condition that looks like a break-in, the control first gives an alarm warning. If the condition is not cleared, the next step is the shutdown, and the display reads oFF. Customers find a washer that will not start. The wash circuits are not involved in this message. The cause to look into is the switch position or tampering, and the washer should not be released for use until that is settled. A vault door that is not fully seated or a washer door held open by a cloth can look exactly like a break-in to the control. Switches that are stuck, worn or misaligned can also hold the alarm in place, and so can wiring problems from outside the machine.
