What does Kolpak error code HELP - PANIC mean?
The Deluxe Display includes a panic button meant for a person who needs help, for example someone shut in a walk-in. When the button is pressed, the controller puts the unit into panic mode and posts the text alarm HELP - PANIC in the Alarms menu. Unlike most alarms, this one reports no measurement and no failed part. It records that a person pressed the button. The manual says only that the button was pressed and the unit is in panic mode, and it does not say what panic mode does to cooling, so that should be checked on site. The standard instruction applies: ENTER silences the alarm for one hour while the condition is addressed, and it sounds again if the system is not corrected by then. The first response is always to find out whether someone needs help.
