What does Kolpak HIGH MONITOR TEMP2 ALARM mean?

The stand-alone Display compares the Temp 2 reading with a limit set by the High Temp Alarm Offset. When the temperature is above that offset, the Display does not alarm right away. It waits for the High Temp Alarm Delay. If the reading is still above the limit when the delay ends, the text alarm HIGH MONITOR TEMP2 ALARM appears in the Alarms & Variables menu. The delay lets normal short warm-ups pass, such as a door held open during loading. The alarm tells you a valid temperature is too high, which is different from the sensor alarms, where the reading itself cannot be trusted. The manual gives no causes. It lists a DISP CLEAR ALARM variable for clearing alarms set in the Display, and says to scroll the menu to see active alarms.

HIGH MONITOR TEMP2 ALARMQuestions about Kolpak HIGH MONITOR TEMP2 ALARM
Does this alarm mean the sensor is bad?

No. A bad sensor would give a sensor alarm. Here the reading is valid and high.

Is this the same as HIGH MONITOR TEMP2?

The idea is the same. That name is for the OEM controller with Display, and this one is for the stand-alone Display with its own offset and delay names.

What should I do with the food?

Use a thermometer and your own food safety rules. The alarm does not say how long the area was warm.
