Ovention Oven Not Heating: Temperature High Limit Switch
When the oven is not heating and no code shows, the Temperature High Limit switch has tripped. Press the Temperature High Limit Reset Button on the rear, left side of the oven chamber near the main disconnect switch. If the switch continues to trip, contact a service agent or the Ovention hotline.
High: the oven stops heating until the high limit is reset, and repeated trips point at overheating.

What does Ovention Oven not heating mean?
An Ovention oven has a Temperature High Limit switch that cuts the heat if the oven gets too hot. When it trips, the oven stops heating, and no display code appears. The manual lists this as an oven not heating, with one cause: the switch has tripped. The reset button is on the rear, left side of the oven chamber, near the main disconnect switch. Pressing it restores heating. If the switch continues to trip, the manual says to contact a service agent or the Ovention hotline. The CHECK FANS light is a separate indicator. The dirty air filters and cooling fan malfunction the manual lists belong to the CHECK FANS row, not to this one, so do not assume they are the reason for a tripped limit. Look at the CHECK FANS light as well, because it may show at the same time.

How a technician diagnoses Oven not heating
- Confirm the oven is not heating and note the CHECK FANS light.
- Let the oven cool and press the reset button.
- Check cooling fans and air filters.
- Test the high limit switch and the heating circuit.
- Replace the switch if it trips below its rating.
- The reset button is near the main disconnect, so the area carries line voltage.
- A limit that keeps tripping signals an overheating cause that needs a technician.
- Heating circuit tests are meter work.
How Oven not heating differs from similar codes
No heat with a tripped limit is separate from the CHECK FANS light, although the two can appear together.
