The PowerRunner is Dean’s 50 lb gas fryer with a choice of controllers, optional filtration and an optional basket lift. The model on the data plate is PRG50T, FPRG50T for the filtered version, or 1PRG50T-SPV.
Which control you have decides what we check. Computer and digital controls point us to the probe and high limit, while the lift adds a motor and limit switches to the list. We also check the ignition, the gas valve and the flue.
In a hot, humid kitchen, grease on the lift and the control keeps these fryers working harder than they should. We clean what we reach as part of the visit. If the display ever shows a temperature message, switch the fryer off and let the oil cool first. Tell us which controller your fryer carries, because the checks differ.

The data plate shows FPRG50T for the filtered version and PRG50T for the unit without filtration. A filtered fryer also has a filter pan in the cabinet below the vat, which makes it easy to spot.
The basket lift will not raise. What can I do?
Switch the fryer off and let the oil cool before anything else. Check that nothing is blocking the basket. If it still does not move, call us and we test the lift.
Can one visit cover the controller and the burners?
Yes. We check the control, probe, ignition and gas valve together in one visit, then give you the price in writing before we start any repair.
