Super Runner is Dean’s economy gas fryer, sold in three sizes. The SR142G is the 40 lb unit, the SR152G the 50 lb and the SR162G the 75 lb. The model starts with SR on the data plate, and that is how you tell a current fryer from the older SR42, SR52 and SR62 units.
Fryers in a busy fry station pick up grease on the thermostat and gas valve, and humid weather keeps that grease from drying out. We look at the pilot, the thermostat calibration and the burner ports first.
Clogged tubes and weak gas pressure are the usual reasons a Super Runner recovers slowly between loads. On older units we also check the pilot assembly for wear. Tell us the size you have when you book so the right parts come along.

Check the model on the data plate. SR142G is the 40 lb, SR152G the 50 lb and SR162G the 75 lb. The G at the end means gas.
My Super Runner takes too long to come back to temperature. What do you check?
Burner ports, flue tubes, gas pressure and the thermostat all get a look. Soot on the tubes is a common reason. Soot on the tubes is a common reason, and cleaning them can bring recovery back.
Can you repair a Super Runner that has been in service for years?
Yes. We service these fryers, and a pot that has worn through is the one problem a repair cannot cure. When a pot has worn through, we tell you honestly.
