Repairs this series usually needs

  1. Milk or internal water tank almost empty messages
  2. Coffee tastes stale from an oil film in the bean hopper
  3. Serious errors that need the machine powered off for a minute
  4. Grinder and brew problems

The Franke A-series are fully automatic bean-to-cup machines with a touch panel. The A600 is also known as the FCS4043 and the A1000 as the FCS4050, so you may see either name on the plate or in a paperwork file.

These machines do not use numbered codes. Errors appear as on-screen text with a colored symbol in four levels, from a short interruption to locked resources. Tap the symbol to read the message and its instructions, and follow them.

For a serious error, the owner’s manual has you switch off at the main switch, wait a minute, switch on and check the power supply. If the machine will not start, call us. We tell you plainly when an older A-series machine is not worth a larger repair.

FAQFranke A200, A400, A600, A800 and A1000 Coffee Machines questions
Why does my Franke show a colored symbol instead of a code?

The A-series uses on-screen text with a colored symbol. Tap it to read the message. The color tells you how serious it is, from a short interruption to locked resources.

Why does my coffee taste stale?

An oil film in the bean hopper is one cause. Beans left in the hopper for more than three hours can also go stale. Wipe the hopper and refill it with fresh beans.

What if the machine will not start after a restart?

Check the power supply first. If it still will not start, call us and tell us the exact message and the model. We bring the likely parts.
