The E65S, the E65S GbW and the E80S GbW are Mahlkönig’s S-generation espresso grinders. The GbW versions weigh the dose, and the machines have menu diagnostics that let us read how the grinder is set up and what it is doing.
Because they are an earlier generation, many are in daily use after years of service. Burrs wear with volume, the grind drifts and the doser or weighing parts need attention. Before we open anything, we check the settings, the hopper and the grind.

Worn discs are the usual reason. Dose and grind change gradually as they wear, so we check the grind and the weight together, and we tell you when new discs are due.
