Nor-Lake sells its walk-in freezers as KLF indoors and KODF outdoors in the Kold Locker line, and builds freezer versions of the Fast-Trak and Fineline walk-ins too. A model such as KLF612-W or KODF8768-C tells you the box is a freezer, and the digits give its size.
Freezers are harder on door heaters, gaskets and defrost than coolers are. Frost around the door frame, ice on the coil or a box that creeps above its set temperature are what we see most. We check the door and heaters first, then the coil and the defrost, then the refrigeration system.
The LogiTemp control reports defrost problems with codes such as EdF and dtt, and we read those before we touch the box. Older freezers are in our service scope, with a straight answer on whether a repair pays off.

What is the difference between KLF and KODF?
KLF is the indoor Kold Locker freezer and KODF is the outdoor version. Both run at freezer temperature, and the digits give the box size.
Why does my walk-in freezer ice up at the door?
Warm air leaking past a worn gasket or a failed door heater freezes on the frame. We check the gasket, the heater and the closer.
Do you repair older freezers?
Yes. Older Nor-Lake freezers are on our list. The price is written first, and a box or system not worth a major repair gets an honest verdict.
