A freezer room is harder on its parts than a cooler, because the door frame needs heater wires and the coil needs a defrost cycle that starts and ends correctly.
Ice on the coil is what we see most. We check whether defrost starts, whether it ends on its own, and whether the drain and its heater are clear, since a frozen drain sends water back into the room. The LogiTemp Plus option uses reverse cycle defrost, which is faster than an electric heater, and we test that sequence differently from a standard one.
A door that sticks, or a gasket torn at the corners, lets humid air in, and that air turns to frost. We replace what is worn and tell you plainly if an old freezer room is better replaced.
