Repairs this series usually needs
- Steamer will not make steam
- Gas ignition problem
- Water level problem
- Door gasket leaks
- Scale buildup
These are the older Vulcan steamers from the Vulcan-Hart years, among them the VL3GAS, VL2GMS, VHL3D, VSX5, C24EO3 and C24GA5. Some are gas and some are electric, and the model on the data plate tells you which.
On these older units we check the gas ignition or the elements, the water level controls, the door gaskets and scale.
We repair them. Give us the model from the data plate when you book, since the gas and electric versions need different parts. Scale control is the best way to keep an older steamer working. Let the steamer cool and the pressure release before we arrive. We repair these steamers, and an honest answer comes with the estimate if the cabinet or the steam generator is past helping. Give us the full model when you call.

Yes. Many are still working in kitchens today, and repairing them is part of what we do. The cost is settled before work begins, and we say so when a steamer is beyond a sensible repair.
How do I tell gas from electric?
The model on the data plate tells us. Many gas models carry a G in the name, as in VL3GAS or C24GA5, while the electric ones do not.
What if parts are hard to find?
You hear it from us before money changes hands. When a part cannot be found, we talk through your options, including replacing the steamer with a newer one.
