Continental Girbau Washer Error Code ALn / V-15: Low Inverter Voltage
ALn / V-15 means the inverter reads a lower voltage than normal. Switch the washer off for a minute and restart it once. If V-15 returns, a technician should check the supply voltage, the inverter fan and the airflow path.
High: the inverter shuts the drive down and the washer stays out of service.

What does Continental Girbau error code ALn / V-15 mean?
The inverter has to see a healthy voltage before it will drive the drum, and it keeps checking it. When it reads lower than normal, it stops and the control displays ALn / V-15. The cause might be a weak supply or a drive that is struggling. The manual lists two causes: low supply voltage and a failed fan. The action text on the ST-101 sheet for V-15 runs together with the fan-error row, so the fan checks come along with this alarm: check the inverter fan, check the voltage to the fan and replace it if needed, make sure the airflow path is unobstructed, and replace the inverter if needed. The low-voltage meaning is clear and agrees with the sheet, but a technician should treat the fan as part of the same inspection because the sheet pairs them. The inverter should be tested only after the supply voltage and the fan have been confirmed, since a good inverter will also shut down on a sagging supply.
Affected models and control systems
Continental Girbau E-Series washer-extractors with Logi, LogiPro or Vended control, sheet names EH020, EM025, EH060, RMG055 and smaller. The sheet's action text for V-15 shares a row with the fan alarm.

What you may notice
- ALn / V-15 on the display
- Cycle stops when the motor starts to ramp up
- Inverter fan not heard running
Possible causes
Listed in Continental Girbau's documentation
- Low supply voltage
- Failed fan
Other likely causes — what usually sits behind error code ALn / V-15 on this control. A technician confirms which one it is before any part is replaced.
- Shared feed that sags when other large machines start
- Fan supply connector that has loosened or corroded
- Lint packed in the airflow path around the inverter
Safe checks before calling for service
- Press stop and let the drum stop completely.
- Turn the washer off at its disconnect for a minute and then restart once.
- Check whether other equipment on the same circuit is acting up at the same time.
- Keep all panels closed. Tell the technician if the alarm comes only at busy times of day.
How a technician diagnoses error code ALn / V-15
- Read the alarm and measure the supply voltage at the inverter, at idle and under load.
- Check the inverter fan, and the voltage to it.
- Make sure the airflow path is clear and the cover is fitted.
- Replace the fan if it does not run to speed.
- Replace the inverter only after the supply and fan test good.
- Measuring supply voltage means working on live 208-240 V or higher terminals.
- A weak building feed may need the facility electrician as well as the washer service.
- The fan sits next to the inverter, which stores energy after power is off.
How error code ALn / V-15 differs from similar codes
V-10 reports voltage out of range at the inverter input, while V-15 reports the inverter reading low voltage, and the manual pairs it with a fan check.

Is V-15 only a voltage problem?
The meaning is low voltage, but the sheet pairs it with the fan checks, so both are looked at.
Will it clear on its own?
A single sag may. If the supply or fan is the real cause it will return.
Is it safe to run the washer on a weak supply?
No. Low voltage can overheat the motor and drive, so leave it off until it has been checked.
