What does Continental Girbau error code 15 mean?
The Inteli control has an optional A5 board, called I/O1, that adds inputs and outputs for features such as extra signals and supply connections. The board talks to the main A1 board over a cable. Code 15 means the control detected a problem with the A5 board itself, and code 18 means communication with it failed. Either way, the control cannot rely on the signals that board handles and shows the code. The manual's actions are specific: disconnect the A6 board by removing the X2 plug, inspect the cable X1 on the A5 to X11 on the A1, check the input LED A5-H21, and replace the A5 board and then the A1 board if the problem remains. Causes are not broken out for this code in the source. Removing the A6 board from the chain first tells the technician whether that neighbor is dragging the shared link down.
Affected models and control systems

Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
