Continental Girbau Inteli Washer Error Code 21: Bath Over Level
Code 21 means too much water was detected in the bath. Switch the washer off, close the water supply and let a technician run Test Mode on the pressure switch, the water valves and the drain valve.
High: excess water can flood the area, so the washer must be stopped until checked.

What does Continental Girbau error code 21 mean?
The control reads water level through a pressure switch connected to the tub by an air dome and a small pressure tube. During parts of the cycle it expects the tub to hold only a certain amount of water. If the reading goes above that, it concludes the bath is over level, stops, and shows 21 (Bath over level). The cause might be real, with water entering when it should not or not draining, or it might be a false reading from the level circuit. The manual's checks cover both: run Test Mode to confirm the pressure switch shows an empty basket, confirm the water valves shut off, confirm the drain valve works, make sure the air dome and tube are clear, and check the wiring to the pressure switch, then replace the drain valve or pressure switch. No specific cause is given here, only the order of checks.
Affected models and control systems
Continental Girbau E-Series washer-extractors with Inteli control, sheet names RMG055 and smaller and EH060 and larger. Washers with Logi, LogiPro or Vended control use ALn alarms instead.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.

How a technician diagnoses error code 21
- Run Test Mode to check the pressure switch reads empty with an empty basket.
- Confirm the water valves shut off completely.
- Test the drain valve operation.
- Check the air dome and tube for blockage and the wiring to the pressure switch.
