What does Continental Girbau error code 22 mean?
The manual describes code 22 as a level the control reads that is not the level it should be seeing, a level sensing problem, and not simply a failure to reach the programmed water level. The control reads water level from a pressure switch fed through an air dome and a small pressure tube. If the reading does not follow what the valves and drain are doing, the control concludes that level sensing has failed and displays 22 (Bath level failure). The manual sends the technician to the same level-circuit checks as code 21: run Test Mode to confirm the pressure switch shows an empty basket, make sure the water valves shut off, test the drain valve, confirm the air dome and tube are clear, check the wiring to the pressure switch, and replace the drain valve or pressure switch as needed. The table gives no cause list, so the checks do the narrowing. Telling the two codes apart helps: 21 says there is too much water, 22 says the reading cannot be trusted.
