Continental Girbau Inteli Washer Error Codes 23, 26, 29: Bath Heat
Codes 23, 26 and 29 are heat alarms: bath over temperature, a failed heating system, and over temperature while the machine is stopped. For 29, close the door and press STOP to drain. Otherwise a technician checks the heating stage, contactors, relay or steam valves.
Medium: the washer is stopped for protection, but the hazard is hot water and heating hardware.

What does Continental Girbau error code 23 mean?
Three heat conditions share this row. Code 23 means the bath is too hot. Code 26 means the heating system is not working, which the sheet describes as a heat system failure. Code 29 means a high temperature was seen while the machine was stopped. The manual's action for 29 is something you can do: close the door so the cold water valve opens, press STOP to drain, and repeat if needed, which cools the bath. For the others, the technician runs the Test program and checks the heating stage and the heating contactors, and for code 26 also checks the electric relay or steam valves. Nothing in the table ties this code to one failed part. Code 27, the temperature probe failure, is a separate row. If a bath is truly overheating, a heating contactor or steam valve that stuck on is likely, while a false reading would point to the probe.
Affected models and control systems
Continental Girbau E-Series washer-extractors with Inteli control, sheet names RMG055 and smaller and EH060 and larger. Washers with Logi, LogiPro or Vended control use ALn alarms instead.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.
