Repairs this series usually needs
- Probe alarms E0 and E1
- EE and EF control errors
- Warm product from a dirty condenser or crowded shelves
- Frost on the coil
- Condensate and drain problems
The SSRVS and SSRPF cases are taller self-service merchandisers, sold with models like SSRVS3633, SSRVS5042, SSRVS7733, SSRPF3652 and SSRPF5952. They share the Carel electronic control with the SSRC family, so the same E0, E1, EE and EF messages apply.
Refrigerant depends on the build date: R404A on older cases, and R449A on cases made after December 1, 2019. The data plate on the case shows which one you have, and that decides which service procedures we follow.
Vertical cases are loaded heavily, and overloaded shelves block the airflow that keeps product cold. We check loading and the condenser first, then defrost and the probes. A hot, humid store pushes the case past its design limits, so we ask about the store climate too.

How do I know which refrigerant my case uses?
Check the data plate. Cases built after December 1, 2019 use R449A, and older ones use R404A. Tell us the plate details and we confirm.
Why is my vertical case warm at the top?
Overloaded shelves or product blocking the air curtain are common reasons the top runs warm. We look at loading, the condenser and airflow before we look at the controls.
Do you service the SSRPF too?
Yes. The SSRPF models, such as the SSRPF3652, use the same control family as the SSRVS. Give us the full model number and we plan the parts for you.
