On this style of range the griddle and oven share a gas supply, so a pilot problem on one can affect the other. We check the griddle pilot, the thermocouple and the safety valve, then the griddle thermostat and the plate. The maker’s relight steps say to wait 5 minutes and hold the red safety button for at least 30 seconds.
