Repairs this series usually needs
- Steamer will not fill
- Low water sensor problem from scale
- No steam
- Cook light stays on or off
- Door gasket leaks steam
The C24ET is Vulcan’s electric floor convection steamer, built as a 6-pan C24ET6 or a 10-pan C24ET10. Low water energy versions carry LWE1 or LWE2 after the model, as in C24ET10-LWE1. Each compartment has a 60-minute timer with a buzzer and Cook and Ready lights.
Hard water leaves scale on the water level probes, and that is the first thing we look at when a steamer will not fill or will not make steam. After that we check the elements, the controller and the door gaskets.
Let the pressure release and the cabinet cool before you open the door. Give us the exact model when you book, since the LWE versions use different parts. Let the steamer cool and the pressure release before we arrive, and tell us what it did last.

It marks the low water energy version. The model on the data plate shows it, as in C24ET6-LWE1 or C24ET10-LWE2, so check the plate for the exact letters.
Why does my steamer not fill?
Scale on the water probes is a common reason. We clean and test them and check the fill valve, then tell you what we found before we quote the repair.
Is it safe to open the door right away?
No. Let the steam pressure release and the cabinet cool first. Opening a hot steamer too soon can cause burns, so give it time before you open the door.
