- 36CEM1648
Repairs this series usually needs
- Boiler not filling with water
- Reduced steam or slow cooking
- Steam or water leaking around the door
- Steam continuing after the timer ends
The ConvectionPro is a large electric convection steamer with its own steam boiler. Look at the data plate for a model such as the 36CEM1648. It runs on 115 volt control power, and a relief valve protects the boiler.
If one of these cooks slowly or will not fill, the water side comes first for us: the supply valve, the strainer and scale on the level sensors. After that we inspect the door gasket and drain, because a tired seal or a plugged drain throws steam away. We also confirm the timer shuts the steam off when it should.
Water is hard on any boiler. A steamer that has gone a long stretch without descaling usually needs that first, and we will say honestly whether a part deserves replacing.

The data plate carries it, in a form like 36CEM1648. Keep that number handy when you phone, and we line up parts ahead of our arrival.
Why does my steamer take longer than it used to?
Mineral scale on the boiler and sensors tops the list, with a worn door gasket next. We inspect both, and nothing is touched until the price is in your hands.
Is it safe to open the door right after cooking?
Let the pressure release and the cabinet cool first. Hot steam can burn badly. If the door will not release or steam keeps venting, switch the unit off and call us.
