Repairs this series usually needs
- Steam generator not producing steam
- Cabinet not heating up
- Timer or touch control not responding
- Drain backing up
- Door gasket leaking steam
SteamChef units make steam inside the cooking cabinet instead of in a separate boiler. They come in 3-pan and 6-pan sizes, electric or gas, and some are stacked two high. Model numbers on the plate look like 22CET6.2 or 2.22CGT33.1.
Because the water sits right in the cabinet, scale shows up fast in a hard water area. On a service call we check the fill, the drain, the door seal and the control you use, whether that is the easyTimer, SureCook or easyTouch version. On a gas model we also confirm the burner lights and runs steadily. A gas odor means everyone steps outside and someone phones the gas company.
Plenty of older SteamChef steamers are still cooking every day, and we repair them.

These are boilerless, so water goes into the cabinet rather than a boiler. The installation sets that up. If fill is slow or stops, we check the supply, strainer and sensors.
What does the number 22CET6.2 tell me?
It is a model number from the data plate. Share it with us when you book and we match parts before arriving. The plate is the only reliable place to read it.
My gas SteamChef will not heat. What now?
