Repairs this series usually needs
- Water level probe coated with scale
- Boiler overfilling or not filling
- Blowdown not draining
- Weak steam on gas models
- Door seal leaks
SteamCraft Ultra steamers sit on a counter or stand and make steam in their own boiler. A remote probe watches the water level, and the unit blows down automatically. Plate numbers include 21CET8, 21CET16, 21CGA5 and 24CGA10.
Probes are the first place we look when one of these will not fill or keeps filling. Mineral coating makes the probe misread the water, and a quick cleaning or replacement often settles it. Next come the blowdown valve, the drain, and the door gasket. On gas units we also check burner operation, and a gas odor sends everyone outside to phone the gas company.
A long cook time on a steamer usually points to scale or a leak, so that is where we look first.

The probe tells the control how much water is in the boiler. Scale can make it read wrong, so the boiler may overfill or never fill. We clean or test it first.
Why does my steamer drain by itself?
Automatic blowdown is part of the design. Draining that never stops, or a drain that stays blocked, is a different problem and we trace it to the valve or the line.
Do you repair gas SteamCraft Ultra models?
Yes. We service both electric and gas versions. On gas units, any odor of gas means going outdoors and phoning the gas company before you call us. We then test ignition and burner operation after you book.
