Kold-Draft Ice Machine Code 80: Full Rinse Mode Active
Code 80 means the machine is in full-rinse mode because the left jumper on the controller is pulled. It is an optional, less energy-efficient mode, not a malfunction. Replace the jumper and reset the controller to return to normal minimum-rinse mode.
Low: an informational mode indicator; the machine keeps making ice.

What does Kold-Draft error code 80 mean?
Code 80 is an indicator, not a failure. The controller has a left jumper that selects how much rinsing the machine does. With the jumper in place, the machine runs a minimum rinse, which uses less water and energy. With the jumper pulled, the machine runs a full rinse, and the controller shows 80 (LED 80, full rinse mode). The mode is optional, and some sites choose it on purpose, for example when their water is hard or the product is for a sensitive use. The manual's only cause is the left jumper being pulled. The remedy is to replace the jumper and reset the controller to restore the normal energy-efficient minimum rinse. The manual's troubleshooting table lists Code 80 for Rev 1.3 boards only. If nobody pulled the jumper on purpose, a technician can put it back, but opening the controller is not an operator job.
Affected models and control systems
