Repairs this series usually needs
- Brew cycle will not start, from a display message or brew lockout
- Tank will not refill, or refill does not shut off
- Water does not heat to the proper temperature
- Dripping from the sprayhead, from lime on the dispense valve
- Spitting or heavy steaming from lime on the probe or tank
The ITB and ITCB brewers are Bunn’s infusion line, and the model on the data plate begins with ITB or ITCB, often followed by letters such as HV, DV or Twin. The tank is heated by an element controlled through a triac on the control board, and a level probe tells the board when to fill.
When one of these brewers will not heat, we start with the temperature probe, the limit thermostat, the tank heater and the triac, in that order. When it fills badly or will not stop filling, lime on the level probe and the refill valve is the usual find, where hard water builds up quickly.
Plenty of older ITB and ITCB brewers still run shops. We repair them, and if the bill would pass what the brewer is worth, we say so up front.

Which letters should I look for on an ITCB plate?
The plate shows the model, for example ITCB-A or ITCB HV Twin. Read us every letter, since the voltage and the parts we bring depend on it.
Why does my ITB brewer spit and steam?
Lime on the temperature probe or inside the tank is a common cause. The probe then reads wrong and the water overheats. We descale the tank and test the probe before replacing parts.
Can you repair a brewer that will not refill?
Yes. We check the water supply first, then look for lime on the level probe and the refill valve. The price is in writing before we start, and the work is warranted for 30 days.
