The New Infusion brewers have a control board with a membrane panel and a hot water tank with a level probe. The display tells us a lot. A Heating Time Too Long message sends us to the tank heater, the control board and the temperature probe. Fill Time Too Long sends us to the supply line, the inlet solenoid and the ON/OFF switch. The two Temp Sensor Out Of Range messages tell us the probe is open or its wires are shorted.
Weak coffee is often a sprayhead or filter problem, but we also confirm that the water at the sprayhead is hot enough. Dripping, spitting and a refill that will not shut off almost always lead back to lime on the probes and valves, so where the water is hard we delime the tank as part of the repair when it is needed.
If the control board is replaced, the recipes, the probe calibration and the serial number must be set again. We do this before we leave. Older units are common in offices and shops, and we are straight about when a repair makes sense.

What does Temperature Too Low mean on my BUNN brewer?
The tank has not reached ready temperature yet, and brewing stays locked while the lockout setting is on. If it never clears, we test the heater, probe and control board.
Why does my brewer make weak coffee?
A clogged sprayhead, water that is too cool, or the wrong filter or grind can all do it. We check each one and confirm the brew water temperature before we quote anything.
