BUNN Coffee Brewer Message Fill Time Too Long: Check Water Supply
Fill Time Too Long means the tank did not fill in the allowed time. Check that the water supply shut-off is open and the ON/OFF switch is on. If it still shows, service is required.
Medium: the brewer cannot fill until the supply or solenoid is fixed, but the first checks are easy.

What does BUNN Fill Time Too Long mean?
When the brewer starts or the tank needs water, the control opens the inlet solenoid and gives the tank a set time to fill. If the tank has not filled by then, the display shows Fill Time Too Long. The programming manual's Troubleshooting page explains what to check first: that the water supply shut-off to the brewer is open, and that the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. If both are right, service is required. The causes it lists are water shut off to the brewer, an inlet solenoid failure, a control board failure and the ON/OFF switch being off. The first and last are things anyone can fix in seconds, which is why they come first. The solenoid and the board need a technician. A shut-off valve that was closed during cleaning or plumbing work is a very common reason for this message.
Affected models and control systems
BUNN Infusion Series bean-to-cup brewers: ITB, ITCB and HV models, and the ICB and Twin. Other BUNN brewer lines use a different message list.
Code numbers and their meaning can change between control generations. We match the full model and control before acting on a code.

How a technician diagnoses Fill Time Too Long
- Read the message and confirm the supply pressure.
- Check the inlet screen and the water line.
- Test the inlet solenoid coil and the voltage to it.
- Check the ON/OFF switch and the control board output.
- Replace the solenoid or board as needed.
- The solenoid is a line-voltage part.
