The Major, Robur, Royal, Kony and Stark are Mazzer’s larger grinder-dosers, built for higher volume than the Super Jolly. They are covered together in one manual, and the model name on the data plate tells us which burrs, motor and doser parts apply.
On a high-volume grinder, burrs wear sooner and fines build up in the doser. The grind drifts, the dose varies and the machine runs longer for the same amount. Our first steps are to clean the doser, check the grind setting and look at the burrs.
If an older grinder would cost more to repair than to replace, you hear that from us. Owners keep to brushing and the daily wipe-down; the inside work, including burrs and the motor, is ours.
